1. When do MTA operations begin at Music City Central?

MTA will begin all operations at Music City Central on Sunday, Oct. 26.

2. What is the last day buses will line up at the Downtown Transit Mall on Deaderick?

The last day buses will line up on Deaderick Street is on Saturday, Oct. 25.

3. Can bus riders become familiar with Music City Central before Oct. 26, when buses start to operate from that location?

The Nashville MTA is preparing a variety of public information materials for MTA riders that will be available prior to the move into Music City Central bus bays. For example, on the new MTA system map that is being updated and printed, there will be a diagram or floor plan of Music City Central highlighting the MTA Customer Care Center (tickets, schedules, and information), ticket vending machines, public restrooms, customer waiting rooms, and the bus bays.

In addition, the MCC bus bay numbers will be printed on all route schedules. Plus, bus riders are invited to attend the MCC grand opening Friday, Oct. 24 and MCC will be open to the public for tours until 5 p.m. following the grand opening ceremony Oct. 24.


4. Where is the best place for bus riders to go when they first enter Music City Central?

Riders may enter MCC via the Upper Grand Entry at 5th and Charlotte Avenues or the Lower Grand Entry at 4th and Charlotte Avenues. We encourage riders to arrive early and walk around the facility to familiarize themselves with the more than 434,000 square feet space for Nashville bus riders. In addition, MTA will publish a special insert of the MCC floor plan on the updated MTA system map, MTA Web site and in a community newspaper in the coming weeks. This floor plan includes bay numbers, customer waiting rooms, ticket vending machine locations, and other terrific features in MCC.


5. How will I know where my bus is located in the new facility?

Please check the digital signs throughout Music City Central; review the floor plan on the system maps and other MCC literature; or ask an MTA representative or supervisor on site. In addition, bus bay numbers will be printed on all route schedules.


6. Are all routes staying the same on Oct. 26?

All bus routes coming into downtown Nashville will change due to the move into MCC. MTA will produce a “summary of changes” brochure for the upcoming Oct. 26 system changes.


7. What are the hours for Music City Central?

MCC will open at 5:15 a.m. on weekdays, and 6 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. MCC will close at 11:15 p.m. on weekdays, 10:15 p.m. on Saturdays, and 9:15 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.


8. Will I be able to buy bus passes at the same place I do now?

You will be able to purchase bus passes inside MCC at the Customer Care Center or from the vending machines onsite. You may also continue to purchase bus passes online at www.nashvillemta.org


9. Is Music City Central fully wheelchair accessible?

Yes


10. If I ride my bike to Music City Central, where can I lock it up?

Bike racks are available at MCC.


11. What types of food and drinks are available for purchase at Music City Central?

Initially, coffee, soft drinks, doughnuts and sandwiches will be available for purchase at MCC.


12. What type of payment will be taken at the ticket vending machines at Music City Central?

MTA change cards, VISA and MasterCard credit and debit cards will be honored at MCC.
